Under my boss' instruction, I went to Urchins Street Kids in Better Living, Bicutan and gave away school supplies for the new school year for 78 potential kids. What struck me the most in this experience is how life really is for kids in the slums of Paranaque. Good thing we have good souls and volunteers to help these impoverished children. I would also like to mention Engr. Robert Dela Pena for making this happen and this has certainly lifted the spirits up of everyone in Urchins. To tell you the truth, I was inspired with meeting the kids. No one has really made "mano" to me without my asking. And when those kids went up to me, took my hand and made their mano, i was deeply touched. I let go a sniff with my nose and a layer of water in my eyes. Urchins Street Kids is a foundation based within the subdivision catering to the needs of street children in the area.
