yesterday has been certainly emotional..
everything else however was quite joyful.
i went to binondo yesterday morning to buy some school supplies for this public school my boss was sponsoring. i got two alalays from the company plant to go with me so i wouldn't have to lift a finger once we got there. we passed by un avenue, and then i suddenly thought of kathy. she lived somewhere here. i tought to myself, what if i tried calling her? i was browsing through my phones contacts when it dawned upon me that she might not want to talk to me since i'm a complete bastard. i've dissapointed her in many ways, the most recent one is not helping her at all in looking for a new place to stay.
love aside, after that tiring job of plowing through traffic and asking around where pocbon school supplies is, i went to shopwise sucat and decided to buy some undergarments as well as some apparel items. next thing you know this lady in the cashier started banging her ice cream-ish bell and then this freaking alarm went off. this so called "saved by the bell" promo that they're having is pretty slick. what it means is that i dont have to pay for anything since i'm the "lucky customer" for that day/week/month. if i knew my luck would change that moment the cashier pressed the total button, i could've bought a whole lot of other things. shit. i only managed to spend 1,000+ pesos. i could've gotten a lot more. i left bulk of my cash at home, that's why i had to budget my purchases that afternoon.
somehow, i managed to let a tear run down my cheeks before i wrote this blog down. but that was just it. somehow, i know what's missing in my life. i just don't have time/liberty for it now.. maybe it's kathy, or maybe i miss home. or maybe i miss work. or maybe i miss my old friends. i'm emotionally drained right now.

help.

since i already live here in manila, and in line with the almost empty chance i have with exercise every weekend, i'd like to invite you to be my rowing partner at the manila boat club every weekend. single scull of course. so that's 2 sculls. one for each of us. you do the math genius. hehe. php5000 lifetime membership, 1000 annual fees. other than that, rental for the boat is php80 (last time i checked). oh by the way, and more importantly, i need the sponsor of a Full Club Member.

any takers? remember, every weekend. sunday. preferably early in the morning.

p.s. by the way, i'm looking for a driving range near sucat. any suggestions? i'd like to rekindle with my swinging abilities again.

***Rowing is one of the few non-weight bearing sports that exercises all the major muscle groups, including quads, biceps, triceps, lats, gluts and abdominal muscles. Rowing improves cardiovascular endurance and muscular strength. Rowing reduces fat but does not tend to build muscle in itself, though the associated weight training may do this. High-performance rowers tend to be tall(that's me?) and muscular(definetely not me haha): although extra weight does increase the drag on the boat, the larger athlete's increased power tends to be more significant.***

tell me that's not reason enough. heck, let's go to rockwell after we're done.
ALL ABOARD! =)

Blog EntryIt's over, i fucked up my life.Apr 1, '08 1:53 AM
for everyone

Ever since I stepped into the busy life of the corporate world & the fast-paced life of metro manila, i haven’t been able to really go out and experience the night life. A lot of my new friends here in manila would be calling me up and be trying to invite me out. Sure I was itching from some booze and action but I was just too darn tired from work, considering I haven’t been able to settle in that quickly. 2 weeks after I started working, I finally got a break and finally gave in to my friends’ wishes. We then agreed to go embassy. I had the time of my life, fo sho. Sure the drinks were priced more than the average but still, nothing beats the company of people you are with there. A lot of my friends had partners with them so I ended up going around embassy all by myself. I got too fucked up with booze and was partee-ing.

Damn, was I playful that night. I met this girl I bumped into that dance floor, her name was Christine. Young at 19. a mestiza. She was a godsend for all men to ogle at. She had an ample front and a tight back. Her height was also the same as mine and we were both under the influence. It took little time for us to realize that we didn’t just want to dance with each other. My pheromone levels were off the chart, and so was hers. I ended up riding in her souped up mazda6 and went back to her place. Her parents weren’t at home (how convenient) and we ended up making love to each other the whole sunday early morning and afternoon. I went back home and was in a state of trance. (sorry for the pun. lol) That sunday night she called me up on my sun number and she kept on asking me why I didn’t choose to stay with her. I told her I had work the next day but will try to visit her whenever I can. For a minute there i knew that she missed me so.

The following night she called me up after I got off from work. She mentioned that she was at A. Town Center so I decided to meet up with her, all excited on seeing my gf again (she wanted it that way, and that’s how she wanted me to introduce her to everyone I know, not as someone I had fun with). As usual, we had dinner and we went back to her place again for more lovin'. This went on for a week, until her parents arrived from Europe. I knew I couldn’t afford to lose her, so I told her that I’d lie low for awhile and just wait for her call once she got free from her parents leash. That’s where my life went on a downward spiral.

3 weeks after constantly texting her and receiving no calls from her, I was finally relieved when she called me up. I expected a hello but all I heard were her constant sobbing over the phone. Her crying made me skip a beat. I think I knew what she was crying about. It was then that I knew I was going to be fathering her child. She said that she didn’t have any period for the month, OMFG. She bought 3 different kinds of pregnancy test kits. All positive. I’m going to be a FATHER…… what am I going to do? I mean, you know, I just started work. What am I going to tell my parents? Christine said she was going to take care of everything, all the expenses. She had the money, obviously. I feel so ashamed of myself. I’m lost… I knew I had to prepare for all the finances I could help with. I have to budget everything from now on. I checked the date, it was April 1, 2008. Then I shouted at the top of my lungs - Happy April Fools, I fooled you.

Blog Entrya snippet of my boracay experienceMar 25, '08 12:19 AM
for everyone
a little preview of my holy week in boracay.no pictures here yet.

ill start choosing pictures pa tonight at home. what's pretty amazing for me is it only took me 2gb worth of pictures to make it through the whole 4 days i was there. is it just me or i'm not trigger happy anymore. or maybe i've finally taken that step wherein i should just take my time to compose everything.

anyways, my experience going to boracay and back will surely make it one of my most memorable and scariest moments in my life. lol.

memorable because:
1) i've finally stepped on the white sands of boracay
2) i was with the company of very good friends
3) i've finally experienced the roro system
4) the party at marlboro was the sh*t. (free beer and everything) talo pa slinky. (for me free flowing booze beats anything. haha.)
5) the "journey"
6) lazy afternoons lying on the cottages of white house
7) drinking at guilly's, buffet at seawind, drinking at beachcomber, drinking banana shakes at d*mall at kung saan saan pa.
8) the everyone-got-seasick moment during the island hopping
9) the shrooms
10) playing volleyball again. this time on the beach and not on the polished court
11) the nocturnal nights
12) i am constantly reminded why i should have a balanced diet and exercise with all the other guys with abs and stuff haha
13) and more!!!

scary because (and funny na nga rin):
1)  i almost drowned during a deep dive because of a stupid cramp that happened. i was yelling for help, while waving my right arm. here's the funny part: chairman thought i was saying hi to him. haha

finally! i have my camera with me! (note the big wide ass smile) =)
boracay, get ready for mehhhhhhhhhhh!!! hahaha
also decided to share pictures of my room and place here alabang hills village. hehe

HR MANAGER

A human resources manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the personnel department within a company, organization or agency. This includes posting advertisements or approving advertisements for new employees, screening resumes and applications, setting interview appointments and being involved in the hiring process. In most agencies the human resources manager is also key in providing employee supervision and evaluations, retraining employees, offering mediation services for struggling employees as well as firing employees that are not meeting standards.

Human resource managers must be aware of local, provincial and national employment guidelines, manage payroll issues, maintain employee records, complete and record insurance and other programs offered to employees and be able to assist employees in understanding and evaluating the participation in these programs. Human resource managers may also be actively involved in retraining or training new employees or existing employees or answering questions that employees may have on policies or procedures within the company or agency.

Workplace safety, employee absenteeism and health issues are also addressed by the human resources manager. The manager may be able to work directly with outside agencies to provide on-site counseling or even specialized programs for additions or crisis intervention counseling or services. Many human resource managers act as the bridge between management and workers in non-union companies. Conflict resolution and improving overall workplace moral is a key part of the role of a human resource manager.

Common work activities include:

  • Posting advertisements for new employees in newspapers, on the internet or in trade specific magazines. Contacting employment services or even executive recruiters for very specialized postings.
  • Ensuring all record keeping with regards to workman's compensation, health and medical insurance, and other state and government regulations is completed as required.
